Fashion Face Lift
Hi Darlins,
Yesterday after work, I needed a little "pick me up". You know? Something to just inspire me, and send me home wanting to paint my whole apartment or sketch endlessly. Well, I my desire wasn't too far fetched considering that this is NY. I skipped over to Kelly Mills' Fashion Art Gallery (http://www.faag.us/), browsed through hand made jewelry by Mari J. Brooklyn(http://www.marijbrooklyn.net/), and mingled amongst other fashionistas as we appetized before dinner in the New York skyline. Also showing in this pop up store is Mr. LaQuan Smith(We all looooove his story and it was such a pleasure to meet him.) So the evening was right on time and desert for my day.

SUMMER READS
This one took me on the roller coaster ride, also known as "Nina's Life."
BTW,I live for autobiographies!
I also have so much love for Nina Simone!
I haven't started this one, but my pastor chose recommends it, so we shall see. The few excerpts that he's pulled from it/expanded on so far has me pretty darn interested to read.

D.C.
White House
I spent the weekend celebrating and helping mi amiga celebrate graduating from Howard's graduate school. I'm such a sucker for art so I made it important to capture gem-like details of the D.C. Oh, it's grand to get away from NY for a few days, but I missed her.I appreciate D.C. for the culture and history built deep inside her soul.
Goodbye D.C.
Peace,
K.Keys
